The International Conference on Data Security and Privacy Protection (DSPP) is an established annual international conference on data security and privacy protection sponsored by IEEE. DSPP 2023 will be held in Xi'an, from October 16th to October 18th, 2023. DSPP 2023 promotes and stimulates discussion on the latest theory, algorithms, applications, and emerging topics on data security and privacy protection. DSPP 2023 encourages the cross-fertilization of ideas and provides a platform for researchers, professionals, and students from all around the world to discuss and present their findings.

The main objectives of this conference with regard to data security and privacy protection are as follows: Encouraging the study, improve the practice, and advance the knowledge; Encouraging the applied research. The International Conference on Data Security and Privacy Protection 2023 scope covers the following areas (but not limited to):
Authors are invited to submit original papers: they must not substantially duplicate work that any of the authors have published elsewhere or have submitted in parallel to any other conferences that have proceedings or any journal. The submission must be anonymous, with no author names, affiliations, acknowledgements, or obvious references. Each paper is limited to 8 pages, including figures, tables, and references. To help ensure correct formatting, please use the IEEE style files for conference proceedings as a template for your submission. Submissions not meeting the submission guidelines risk rejection without consideration of their merits. All submissions must be received by 11:59 PM (UTC-8) on the day of the corresponding deadline. Accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings through the IEEE Digital Library.

Professor Yang Xiang is currently a full professor and the Dean of Digital Research, Swinburne University of Technology, Australia. At Swinburne he is driving the university digital research strategy and leading a group of talented researchers to help industry partners solve domain problems via digital transformation and innovation. He founded the Swinburne's Digital Research Innovation Capability Platform to develop digital technologies and translates these into real-world applications. Professor Xiang provides strategic and expert advice to both private and public sectors in Australia, working closely with clients on matters ranging from strategic planning to operational reviews and risk management as well as implementing major initiatives and projects. He is also leading the Blockchain initiatives at Swinburne. His personal research interests include cyber security, which covers network and system security, data analytics, distributed systems, and networking. In the past 20 years, he has published more than 300 research papers in many international journals and conferences. He is the Editor-in-Chief of the SpringerBriefs on Cyber Security Systems and Networks. He serves as the Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Dependable and Secure Computing, IEEE Internet of Things Journal, and ACM Computing Surveys. He is the Coordinator, Asia for IEEE Computer Society Technical Committee on Distributed Processing (TCDP), and the Chair of the Australia and New Zealand, IEEE Blockchain Technical Community. He is a Fellow of the IEEE.

Currently, Professor Xinbo Gao is a Professor of Control Science and Engineering, Xidian University and President of Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications. His research interests include computer vision, machine learning, pattern recognition, artificial intelligence and smart city. In these fields, he has published 6 books and around 300 technical articles in refereed journals and proceedings. He is on the Editorial Boards of several journals, including Signal Processing (Elsevier), and Neurocomputing (Elsevier). He served as the General Chair/Co-Chair, Program Committee Chair/Co-Chair, or PC Member for around 30 major international conferences. In addition, Dr. Gao is a Fellow of IET/IEE, and Vice Chairman of IET Xi'an Network; Senior Member of IEEE; Member of IEEE Xi'an Section Executive Committee, and the Membership Development Committee Chair, Vice President of Computational Intelligence Chapter, IEEE Xi'an Section and Member of Technical Committee of Cognitive Computing, IEEE SMC Society; Vice President of ACM Xi'an Board; Board Member of China Computer Federation (CCF) , Executive Board Member of China Society of Image and Graphics (CSIG), Board Member and Fellow of the Chinese Institute of Electronics (CIE) and Senior Member of the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence (CAAI).

Qian Wang is a full professor in School of Cyber Science and Engineering at Wuhan University, China. He was selected into the National High-level Young Talents Program of China, and listed among the World's Top 2% Scientists by Stanford University. He also received the National Science Fund for Excellent Young Scholars of China in 2018. He has long been engaged in the research of cyberspace security, with focus on AI security, data outsourcing security and privacy, wireless systems security, and applied cryptography. He was a recipient of the 2018 IEEE TCSC Award for Excellence in Scalable Computing (early career researcher) and the 2016 IEEE ComSoc Asia-Pacific Outstanding Young Researcher Award. He has published 200+ papers, with 120+ publications in top-tier international conferences, including USENIX NSDI, ACM CCS, USENIX Security, NDSS, ACM MobiCom, ICML, etc., with 20000+ Google Scholar citations. He is also a co-recipient of 8 Best Paper and Best Student Paper Awards from prestigious conferences, including ICDCS, IEEE ICNP'11, etc. In 2021, his PhD student was selected under Huawei's "Top Minds" Recruitment Program. He serves as Associate Editors for IEEE Transactions on Dependable and Secure Computing (TDSC) and IEEE Transactions on Information Forensics and Security (TIFS). He is a Fellow of the IEEE and a member of the ACM.

Dr. Siqi Ma is an assistant professor of the University of New South Wales, Australia. She received her Ph.D. in Information System from Singapore Management University in 2018. Prior to joining the University of New South Wales, she was a tenured faculty member at the University of Queensland. Her research interests primarily focus on mobile security, IoT security, and autonomous system security. She is a recipient of the best paper award of IEEE SANER. She has published a number of research papers in the top-tier journals and conferences, such as TKDE, USENIX, S&P, and ICSE.
